Discover the results of the Stop Hunger Challenge, an athletic competition that brought together more than 200 Sodexo Canada employees that took place between May 16 and June 10, 2022.

From May 16 to June 9, 36 teams of Sodexo Canada employees with a total of 213 participants competed in the Stop Hunger Challenge. Participants had to do as much physical activity as possible using the MoveSpring application and collect a maximum of points. The participants also had to solicit their network and collect money using the Goodness platform to significantly increase the number of points they had earned.

The incredible energy and competitive team spirit of our employees made this event a success: a total of $20,110 was raised by all teams for the fight against hunger.

However, to maximize the impact of the Stop Hunger Foundation, Sodexo is matching the contributions of all its employees. Many of you wanted to make a difference this year by making a personal contribution to the challenge. Thanks to your generosity, the total was raised to $26,201.

Since 2020, the Stop Hunger Foundation has developed a $500,000 partnership with Breakfast Club of Canada over five years to help children reach their full potential. The amount you raised this year will fulfill our commitment and have a significant impact on the development of children across Canada. Since Sodexo also pays all the Stop Hunger Foundation's administrative costs, you can be assured that 100% of the donations will go to the cause.

In addition, participants were also challenged to cover 40,000 KM in 25 days. This challenge was also met with flying colors, as our athletes covered a total of 44,320 KM.

Congratulations again to all participants for your active participation and thank you for making the Stop Hunger Challenge a real success. This event was a great opportunity to connect, to take care of us and, most importantly, to make a difference for the children!
