Offer helps raise $63K at Stop Hunger Foundation Gala

It’s not every day that your company president does a waltz and offers to do your dirty dishes. Suzanne Bergeron offered her hidden talents for auction at the Stop Hunger Foundation Gala on September 20.

The annual fundraiser, hosted at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto which is managed by Centerplate,  brought in $63,955 for the Stop Hunger Foundation. Some 200 suppliers and guests enjoyed the family style service, prepared by Sodexo Chefs, pictured below.

Celebrity Chef Michael Smith led a live auction. One of hottest items was a dinner prepared and served by a Sodexo Chef, and clean-up supplied by Stop Hunger Chair Suzanne Bergeron. The battle of the bids was won by two suppliers: Ottawa’s Karen McGuire from Burnbrae Farms and  Toronto’s Nico Repac from Ecolab. They each paid $2,500 for their private dinner.
