Thanks to Sodexo and the Good Food Machine, a school in Northern Manitoba was able to harvest crops in April.

Students at George Saunders Memorial School in York Landing, Manitoba have begun harvesting herbs and vegetables in their classrooms. The children are part of a pilot program with Sodexo and the Good Food Machine to promote healthy eating habits and bring food security to the community.

Sodexo donated four garden towers to the community back in September. Compared to traditional gardens, the towers’ aeroponic technology uses 10% of the space and water, and produces 30% more produce. Plants can grow indoor, year-round in any climate.
