Our National Partner

In 2020, Sodexo Canada's Stop Hunger Foundation made the decision to develop a 5-year national partnership with Breakfast Club of Canada by donating $100,000 per year until 2025, as their mission aligned perfectly with ours: to develop initiatives that would provide greater access to healthy food options for children across the country and therefore, build healthier communities.

At the Stop Hunger Foundation, we believe it is possible to fight hunger by implementing initiatives well beyond food aid. We believe that it is through education, training, mentoring and the creation of food self-sufficiency projects that we will be able to help as many people as possible who suffer from food insecurity. For Breakfast Club of Canada, providing a nutritious breakfast every morning helps children stay focused at school, have a better educational experience and feel supported by a caring community. This simple gesture has a significant impact on a child's learning ability, reduces hunger-related stress, increases attendance and punctuality and improves behavior, all of which help children reach their full potential.

Breakfast Club of Canada currently supports more than 257,700 children in 1,887 clubs across the country. Of these, more than 34,000 children are supported through 282 clubs in Indigenous Communities. In addition, the organization promotes a culturally sensitive approach to the food traditions, preferences and nutritional needs of each community, which is perfectly aligned with our values at Sodexo. We are proud to partner with Breakfast Club of Canada and hope that together we can make a significant impact on as many children as possible across the country in the communities where we operate.

Our Food Rescue Partners

Food rescue is an effective way to eliminate waste while helping those in need. The Stop Hunger Foundation prioritizes the Second Harvest and La Tablée des Chefs programs for food rescue. If you are a Sodexo employee and have any questions regarding the use of these programs, please contact us.
